Aureolus Chaotic Motion Double Pendulum Sculpture

In the past few years, we have covered plenty of cool chaotic pendulums here. They put on a trippy show as you get them going. The Aureolus is also worth a look. It is a double pendulum wooden kinetic sculpture. It maintains random motion for up to 2 minutes.

In order to pull this off, the artist had to get the weight and pivot points just right. Andy Shoemaker is the artist behind this kinetic sculpture. This piece has a bamboo plywood construction with steel ball bearings.
