Meet the Dragonfly DF1: a rocket powered one-man helicopter built by Swisscopter. It uses a pair of hydrogen peroxide fueled rockets attached to the tips of the rotors for power. The machine is light and can carry a 500 lbs load. It can achieve a top speed of 115 mph and cruise speed of 40 mph. The flight time is up to 50 minutes but can last up to 100 minutes with an extra fuel tank.

The Dragonfly DF1 can be controlled using a handlebar mechanism that hangs down from the rotor head and allows for control of the angle of the blades. There is also a throttle level for power adjustment. Like what you see? Be sure to keep up with the updates on swisscaching’s YouTube channel.
