Robots are going to be a big part of our lives. Even big tech players like Musk admit that they may end up making work optional. The Eggie from Tangible Robotics is a new cute robot that can perform common household chores. It has dexterous hands and can handle common household objects, like a mug. As the company explains on its website, this robot is built on whole-body control, compliance, and dexterity, so it will be able to perform tasks in everyday environments.
Hello, Eggie.
The world was built around humans. Eggie doesn’t just look human, Eggie interacts like us.
Dexterous. Mobile. Compliant.
We’re building Eggie to be the smartest robot to ever walk on Earth. Join us.

The goal is to achieve general purpose manipulation. These robots learn from deployment in real environments. They don’t look like a Terminator either, which always helps.
