Meet ORBneXt: an always on WiFi connected data display device that connects to your data and devices and visualizes your information. You can control the device from your iPhone or Android device. How can you use something like this? Maybe to visualize the temperature or UV index outside. You can also track stock price changes and any other data. Here is how the developers explain the product:
We’ve built some popular presets into our iOS, Android and Web apps (Temperature, UV index, Dow, Lamp Mode or Color Mixer); but using the power of services such as IFTTT, you can literally make the ORBneXt become an indicator for any type of information or event you wish. For example, if you are at the office and want to know whether your UPS package was delivered at the house, you can use IFTTT and your ORBneXt will flash upon delivery.
ORBneXt is powered by a Mini-USB connection. It connects to your WiFi network and is compatible with iPhone or Android devices. This is quite a brilliant invention by Advanced Lumonics Labs. It probably won’t get as much attention as it deserves but consider us sold.
