Here is a pair of smart glasses that makes life easier for dyslexic users. It has two small cameras and an earpiece. The camera captures pictures of words and reads them out in the earpiece. The unit is powered by a Raspberry Pi. Once you blink, the camera is triggered to capture words. The Pi processes the images using OCR and turns words into sounds.
