Proteus ExZ1 Pipe Crawler Robot for Explosive Environments

Pipe inspection robots are nothing new. We have covered a bunch of them here in the past. Not all of them are designed to work in explosive environments though. The Proteus ExZ1 is a pipe drawler robot for these dangerous tasks. It has a pressurized camera head with 360-degree rotation and 135-degree pan capability.

This robot can navigate pipes from 6 to 24 inches in diameter. It has a 10-inch sunlight readable display with joysticks and a keypad with easy control. The Proteus ExZ1 robot is designed to operate safely when working in areas that have flammable gases or dust. It won’t generate sparks or heat.
