OpenClaw is one of the hottest AI projects around. Plenty of people are installing it on their old computers, Mac Minis and VPS to get things done. It is also possible to create your own OpenClaw computer with a Raspberry Pi. For example, you can use a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, WhisPlay HAT, PiSugar battery, and a WM8960 mic/speaker. You will just have to flash your Raspberry Pi OS, enable SSH, install drivers, and you are set. Once you have set up its networking, you will be activate OpenClaw.
built my own personal assistent device that runs OpenClaw.
I was curious what the smallest form factor could be that fits in my pocket so I wanted to use the Pi Zero W.

As Sebastian Völkl explains on X, his Raspberry Pi OpenClaw AI assistant works via push to talk. Conversations are transcribed and sent to OpenClaw. Text is displayed on the LCD display. You are going to need to rent a droplet to access OpenClaw for this particular project.
