Ironing clothing items is not everyone’s favorite activity. The good news is you may be able to rely on robots to get that done in the future. TEO is a 1.8 meter tall robot developed at the Carlos III University of Madrid that can now work the iron like a pro.
The robot detects creases by computing a “wrinkliness local descriptor” and smooths out each crease with the iron. In the future, this robot will take on other household chores. New Scientist has more on the story here.
