This is the VEX AIR Hornet Drone: an STEM gadget that you can use to teach your students robotics and aeronautics concepts. This drone has 3 interchangeable mission modules. Its motorized module can be activated to open and close its hook. This drone can also lift objects and drop them off. These modules are hot swappable. Hornet has 2 cameras, including a downward facing camera for object detection and pinpoint landings. Both camera feeds can be watched on a color touchscreen controller.
This drone can be programmed with Vex Code blocks, Python, and MS Visual Studio code. It has WiFi, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. Pilots can communicate with each other using the included headsets. This drone has 360-degree propeller guards for safe operation.
