In the past few years, we have covered plenty of unique clocks here. This Arduino Based Flip-disc Clock is also worth a look. It is an Arduino Nano Every based clock that can display numbers and letters, so it an technically display time, temperature, and humanity. What is a flip-disk display? It is a electromechanical display with physical discs that have two colored sides. Here is how they work:
“The discs are controlled by a system of electromagnets located beneath the display surface. Between the two layers of the disc, there is a small permanent magnet that interacts with electromagnets. When a current is passed through the electromagnet, it attracts or repels the dot, causing it to flip over and change color. ”
This clock has 3 buttons that you can use to set the time. It runs on a 12V 2A power supply. You can choose a transparent or matte black case for it. There are also two color options for you to choose from (yellow & white).
