Recently, we had a chance to cover the Bionic Bird: it is a wonderful smartphone-controlled bird. The developer behind it has big plans for it though. By the end of 2016, the device is expected to be capable of stable, stationary flight. It will have a sensor plate control and an on-board computer servo-control for automated stabilization. The device will get an integrated an HD video camera and gesture-based controls.
