The DGT Pi is a Raspberry Pi powered chess computer that was originally designed to work with DGT chess boards. A lot of its users are not aware that you can upgrade the Picochess version on it to bring newer engines such as Leela and Stockfish NNUE. In order to do so, you should consider getting a new Micro SD card, remove the existing one from the back and put a new one with a copy of Picochess 3.2 or later. Once you have done that, you will be able to use the DGT Pi with Chessnut Go and other boards.
This update brings a whole host of powerful engines to the DGT Pi. What’s neat is you can now use it with the Chessnut Go without having to use any app. For Stockfish NNUE, you can change ELO while for Leela Chess Zero, you can change the number of cores you want used for calculations. Both of these engines are powerful enough to beat all humans and most engines you can find online, including Hiarcs.
