Those of you who have following our YouTube channel have probably seen all our Chessnut videos. These guys have been making app smart chessboards for a few years now. In fact, they have come a long way since the Air model. Their latest board is a chess robot that can move multiple pieces simultaneously. The Chessnut Air and Air+ are very similar. They are about the same size but the latter has a more premium look to it. It also has hidden LEDs to show the moves. The Chessnut Go is the most portable one of the bunch with magnetic pieces. It also lets you record your games offline.
The Chessnut Pro is about the same size as our DGT board. It has gorgeous wooden pieces. It is very similar in build quality to the Chessnut Air+. All these boards connect to your smartphone and let you play against bots through the official Chessnut app as well as third party apps. They also work with ChessBase and other popular desktop software applications. The Chessnut EVO is a bit different. It has a 12.3-inch touchscreen Android computer built-in. You will be able to train your AI, play against opponents, and complete studies without ever using your phone.
The Chessnut Move is the most advanced chess robot we have seen. It has independently moving chess pieces. It is also a lot more quiet than the Fidelity 6100 and other older chess robots. It works with the official app but we were even able to develop our own apps for it to control the robot with PlentyChess, Stockfish and other UCI engines. Technically, you can develop apps for all these boards but Chessnut EVO is a bit different from the others and requires more work.
