Meet the CliMate: an elegant wearable device that tracks temperature, humidity, UVI (HUT) and keeps you out of trouble by syncing the data to your smartphone. The device collects environmental data 24/7 in an unobtrusive fashion. It measures the HUT of your environment and syncs the data to its app on your iOS / Android device. It is lightweight and completely wireless. Its single coin cell battery should last you up to 6 months.
The companion app shows you when you are dealing with hazardous weather. You are provided with weather alerts and tips to stay out of trouble. You can monitor multiple CliMates using one app. It keeps track of your history and provides you with alerts when you need to apply sunscreen or stay in due to harmful conditions in your area.
The data you sent via the CliMate app is added to a massive P2P interactive map, so the more people use the device, the better it gets. You can even use the CliMate to find your phone or remotely trigger its camera. You can support this project on Kickstarter.
