This is the Cubie: a cute little desk robot powered by on-device AI and OpenClaw that keeps you company as you play games, code, and do everything else. This robot has moving sections and expresses itself through its display. It has a touch enabled area on top for interactions. It has a built-in emotional system and switchable personas. Unlike other robots we have covered, this one is mobile, so it can move on your desk on your own.
You can use your phone to customize its appearance and interactions. Cubie has upgradable outfits. You can even customize it with LEGO. This AI robot not only responds to your touch gestures but also voice commands. According to the Kickstarter project, it will support GPT, Grok, Gemini, and other top AI models. It has no cloud dependency, so it will stay smart even when offline. These robots are expected to ship by July.
