Meet the Embue system: a smart device that makes cooling and heating decisions for you and saves you money at the same time. The system has three parts: Core, Sensor, and Module. The Core serves as an operating system for your home, managing your heating and cooling systems. You just have to connect it to your router or WiFi network. Modules replace those good old thermostats. They can be attached to your air conditioning or heating unit. Sensors measure temperature, humidity, and presence.
Embue tracks electricity, gas, and fuel oil use. It helps you spot problems and even reminds you to perform maintenance on your heating/cooling system. The sensors are unobtrusive and work without wires. You can add more zones to your system when needed. You can access your data on your iOS, Android, Windows Mobile devices and using any major browser. Access to your data is free, but you can use Embue Switchboard to to connect this to your HVAC service provider. This project is on Kickstarter right now.
