Living in a large city can be a lot of fun, but finding enough parking space and dealing with congested traffic can be challenging. Things would be even worse if everyone owned a large vehicle. Small cars are not always the safest option though. The EO smart connecting car 2 happens to be a compact car that supports normal and diagonal driving. It can turn on the spot and drive sideways.
The car features autonomous parking. It can go as fast as 40 mph. It has 4 x 4kW wheelhub motors. The car’s computer and its auto-navigation system assist drivers on the road. You can find out more about this project on DFKI Robotics Innovation Center‘s website.
