In the past few months, we have covered many flying machines that can make life easier for farmers. The Heurobotics Mark II is also worth a look. It is a hybrid flying machine that takes off vertically like a helicopter and flies like a plane. It can be used for rescue missions, bridge inspection, surveillance, and other challenging missions.

The Mark II has an airframe like a twin-engine helicopter. It can perform turns in forward flight and land vertically. The current version is battery powered but a gas-powered version could be developed in the future. The Mark II can scan up to 250 acres and fly for 20 minutes.

This computer-controlled flying machine was developed at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
