The Chessnut Move is one of the most in demand chess computers around. It has app connectivity and independently moving pieces. It combines with your phone to let you play against Stockfish, Lichess, and Maia. There is also an offline mode, so you can play without even using your smartphone. One of the most underrated features about Chessnut boards is the fact they are developer friendly. You can write Bluetooth connected apps to interact with Chessnut boards and even control the pieces on the Move.
We came up with the idea of our Stockfish Puzzle Finder while trying puzzles on various chess sites. The idea was to use a powerful engine to come up with original puzzles not found on these sites. This app uses Stockfish 18 to come up with original positions. It can find mate in 2 to mate in 5 puzzles as well as those that require tactical moves to win or keep the balance. Thanks to Chrome’s Bluetooth support, we were able to connect the app to our Chessnut Air and Chessnut Move. The app has a puzzle timer feature, so it can reset the board every 15 seconds to create some sense of urgency. The above video shows how it works.
