In the past few months, we have covered plenty of cool tiny drones for capturing selfies and aerial video here. If you love building your own things, you could always use the Raspberry Pi platform to build your own drone streamer. Sixfab has shared a project that involves using a Pi unit to upgrade a drone to livestream to YouTube via a 4G/LTE connection.

The drone used for this project is a DJI F450. The Sixfab LTE shield lets you upload directly to YouTube from the drone. Since the weight of the unit is about 93 grams, it won’t cause the drone any major problem. The above video gives you a better idea how to get started.
