Plenty of farmers are already using agricultural robots to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs. With AI, they will be able to take it to the next level. Aigen, a Seattle-based agricultural technology startup, has come up with an autonomous robotic platform with AI that runs on solar power. According to the company, its AI models only need 1.5W of power. The robot has a custom 205W solar panel that can produce surplus power at the end of a full day.
Aigen’s robots transmit field and crop data to a mobile app to give farmers real-time insight. These robots have a lightweight frame with regenerative motors and a rugged suspension system. The Aigen Element Service is going to debut in the US in 2024.
