My first smart chessboard with a robotic arm of its own was the Novag 2Robot. It wasn’t particularly strong but could pick up and move the pieces on its own. The Cynus is much more advanced. It is an AI chess robot with a portable design. It has a camera that enables it to recognize pieces and move them. You will just have to magnetically snap the robot arm module to get started.

This chess robot has a display that it uses to express itself. It uses Stockfish with 8 levels to give you a game. Unlike other chess robots, you can just pack this up and take it with you anywhere. The arm and pieces fit into the board, which acts as a carry case with a handle when you fold it. Cynus has free and match modes. You can write you own code and link it to platforms like Lichess and Chess.com. This robot lasts over 10 hours on battery.
