Nobody wakes up expecting things to go horribly wrong. But sometimes they do. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a way to alert your loved ones when you are in trouble? SafeRing lets you do just that. It is a wearable device with an emergency call button right at your fingertips. The button is fully configurable, so you can use its iOS or Android app to perform other actions. With SafeRing you can get help when assaulted or need medical help.
The switch on the ring is small and designed to avoid false alerts. Press the button to trigger your phone to send a message to your pre-defined list of contacts with your exact location. Here are just a few other actions supported:
- SOS messaging
- voice recording
- camera shutter
- music play/stop
SafeRing works with Bluetooth LE devices, including Android 4.3 phones and iPhone 4s or later (iOS functionality is limited). The idea is simple on paper but has a lot of potential. You can support the project on Indiegogo.
