Clikk: Smartwatch As a Remote for Smart Homes

🖖 Super Cool Physics Toys

Many folks have an Android Wear or Apple Watch these days. There are already plenty of apps that let you interact with your smart home from your wrist. Clikk happens to be an interesting solution that lets you control your home entertainment center and smart home from your smartwatch. It can be used to control TiVo, Blu-Ray players, cameras, lights, fans, and everything in between.

The Clikk sits between your smartwatch and home entertainment products. It converts commands from your watch into an IR signal to get the job done. This universal remote is fully customizable and supports Android and iOS devices as well. You can control multiple Clikk units with one watch. It has a 30 feet Bluetooth LE range and 15 feet IR range. You can find out more about it on Kickstarter.
